The Act Church of Sweden strives to ensure that quality community based psychosocial support is implemented in sudden onset emergencies, as well as in protracted crises. The community based psychosocial support (CBPS) approach is founded in the belief that disaster affected persons and communities have capacities that help them manage difficulties, illnesses and distress and to recover.
We are looking to fill a full-time position as the Community Based Psychosocial Support (CBPS) Psychosocial Support Method Adviser to join the Humanitarian Rapid Response Program (HRRP) Team based in Uppsala, Sweden.
The Humanitarian Rapid Response Program (HRRP) team
The HRRP teams is responsible for managing and developing the Act Church of Sweden’s global rapid response programme. We work together with the ACT Alliance and its partners, providing thematic, method and financial support and is specialised in localisation and community based psychosocial support. We are the leading partner for psychosocial support within the ACT Alliance.
The Act Church of Sweden has a teams-based approach to its work, with members of the team have a joint and shared responsibility for the work and results.

This is a fulltime permanent position, starting as soon as possible. It is anticipated that you will be travelling approximately 11-25 days per year.
